Our divine purpose is to serve individuals who are dealing with a substance use disorder and/or mental illness. We offer our services in a soothing, integrative environment with unmatched clinical care. Our team of board-certified doctors and professional clinical staff work at the facility and are in direct contact with each patient daily. Collectively, we strive to provide unique, individualized treatment options that are tailored to the needs and goals of each patient, no matter where they stand in their journey to wellness.

At our San Diego addiction treatment center, we believe in the value of an all-encompassing, science-based treatment approach that also integrates complementary holistic services. By creating specialized plans that incorporate treatment modalities from all kinds of cultures worldwide, we aim to help fuel patients’ minds, bodies, and souls toward long-lasting success.

A Typical Day at Our Residential Treatment Center in San Diego

Structured sleep is essential to a successful inpatient drug and alcohol rehab program. For that reason, our patients have a specific wake-up time and set morning routine, which includes breakfast and a meeting with our medical team. Nursing staff checks their vital signs, assesses any withdrawal symptoms, and administers prescribed medication as necessary.

After breakfast, patients join professional staff and peers for a morning group session. They share their emotions, mental well-being, physical feelings, and spiritual state with one another, while staff assesses each individual’s needs. The topics in morning group can vary greatly, from self-esteem and relationships to trust and relapse prevention. This discussion is led by therapists and counselors trained in evidence-based methods of mental health treatment.

After morning group, patients enjoy a freshly prepared lunch made on-site by our team. They’re then invited to join clinical staff and peers again for an afternoon group session. Here, they discuss things such as mindfulness, managing cravings, and various coping and life skills.

As evening approaches, patients have dinner and attend an on-site recovery meeting with a sober member of the community. These meetings rotate between SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, and 12-step addiction recovery programs.

When the meeting is over, patients are free to wind down and enjoy some recreation time however they see fit. This might mean doing some yoga on the elevated deck, calling family members, or journaling about their day.

Before the day’s final group session, patients check in with medical staff and take any necessary medication. They then join behavioral health staff for a nightly reflection, in which they look back on their day and share their current state (mirroring the morning session).

Nightly reflection time is part of mental health support, and patients are encouraged to focus on things like gratitude as they reflect, a skill that will help them maintain perspective in life. If any conflicts have arisen during the day, individuals can also take this time to make amends.

What Our Clients Say About Us

“My favorite part about Divine House is that you never feel like a patient in an asylum or mental health ward. It feels like a home. This is my first experience with self-motivated recovery and thanks to the staff it’s been an entirely positive one. At first, I felt unsure and ashamed to seek treatment, but the treatment I’ve received here has been life-changing and I don’t regret anything. Thank you so much for everything.”
